forest bathing

Forest bathing, or Shinrin-Yoku, is a mindful way of immersing yourself in nature, using all your senses to experience the sights, sounds, and feel of the woodland around you. At Shear Brook Wood, our peaceful ancient woodland provides the perfect setting to slow down, disconnect from daily stresses, and reconnect with nature. Whether you take a quiet walk beneath the towering oaks, listen to the rustling leaves and birdsong, or simply sit and breathe in the fresh woodland air, forest bathing offers a deep sense of calm and restoration. Guided forest bathing sessions at Shear Brook Wood are led by Lisa, who helps visitors explore simple techniques to fully experience the benefits of being in nature. With her guidance, participants learn to tune into their surroundings, practice mindfulness, and engage deeply with the woodland environment.
